musical Career
Early work
Anthony had a very short musical career as he was introduced to music aged about 14 at school. After a very inspiring lecture by the legendary percussionist James Blades he took up playing the side drums.
However, the music teacher was (in hindsight) being kind and generous when he suggested there could be better ways of utilising the time.
Breakthrough
For many years the Middlesex Yeomanry Concert Band had a very inspiring and charismatic President Major 'Dusty' Miller, who on retirement in 2014 moved to Norfolk. This meant the Band needed a new MYA President who lived locally, was enthusiastic, and motivated to represent the MYA and the Band at major concerts. Dusty Millar approached Anthony at a lunch event and floated the idea and offered to make an introduction.
A quick introduction to Mike Robinson, Judy Morrison and other Band Members and Anthony was hooked and agreed to take up the post, with the agreement of the Band.
